Iris Johnson

My first day began with cleaning out a room of art supplies and puppets, and a conversation about the mission of Musketaquid, the nonprofit that I am working with. Musketaquid is an arts and environmental group that runs out of the Umbrella Arts Center in Concord Center, and their main workspace is full of papier-mache animals, boxes of natural materials, and tons of art materials. In my first week, we were mostly working on preparing for the Earth Day Parade, which is the biggest event that Musketaquid holds every year. I spent a lot of time helping prepare for Earth Day, organizing people, and getting the word out.
