This past week, I spent my time with the Probation Department at the courthouse, and the clerks office. During my time with the Probation Department, I was given a rundown of how probation actually works: the application process, the terms and conditions, the different restrictions one gets on probation, etc. Furthermore, when court was in session, I sat with probation and gave anyone who got placed on probation, a form that outlined instructions as to how to proceed once their case was over. At times, the Probation Department was quiet, so I would go over to the clerks office, and the Clerk Magistrate would find something for me to complete. For the short time I was in the clerks office after being with probation, I was given the task of sealing cases.

At times, when I was sealing cases, I would stumble upon a letter from the Probation Commissioner that would have either docket numbers with missing case files, or incorrect cases being requested to seal.
