Hi, my name is Odin Doolittle. I am a senior at Concord Carlisle High School and for my fourth quarter I will be participating in an internship program instead of my regular curriculum. Next year I plan to study mechanical engineering at Tufts University. I will be interning for Tufts professor Dr. Brunye and his associates at the Center For Applied Brain And Cognitive Sciences at Tufts in Medford, MA.
The center combines psychology and engineering studies to create technology systems that increase intellectual capabilities and reduce psychological burdens. For example, they can track inattentiveness in soldiers and keep them focused on mission. I hope to gain a basic understanding for brain sciences and to learn the diverse applications of engineering.
