Another busy week on the Polar Spirit! We are making steady progress as our "splash" date slowing grows closer. There are still several jobs to complete to ensure we have a safe and unproblematic journey.
Cleaning the windshield
Years of built up dirt and crud sat there staining the windows, impeding the view of the driver. I went to work wet sanding the glass with a compact palm sander and a hose. Each window required three different grits of sandpaper, and a final layer of polish to get it to where it is now.
Before
After
In preparation to paint the bottom of the boat, we used a pressure washer and a scrub brush to remove the layer of dusty paint.
