During my first week at the Discovery Museum, I got to experience many different roles people play at the museum. The Discovery Museum provides a fun learning environment for kids to come and play and develop thinking skills as well as experience science and nature in a positive fun way. I helped manage and run morning programs for kids. I got to explain what the program was and ask thought provoking questions and have thought provoking conversations with the kids who walked in to participate. I also got to do some back end office work for this non-profit organization. The work environment is casual. It is fun, upbeat and very positive to help encourage learning for the kids. I love interacting with the kids and working with and learning from my co-workers.
