During my first week at the Walden Woods Project, I went on a Walden Pond tour on the first day and then went to the Walden Woods Project's library to sit in on a class and also helped out with typing up resources for their workshops and biographies of people attending their seminar. The work environment is casual, but some people are a little more formal.

I like how people working there are engrossed in keeping literature alive and being able to help younger people be excited about learning Thoreau. I also liked how I was able to be outside on the first day and learn about Walden Pond and its wildlife, formation, and history of Thoreau. I learned about why people wanted to partake in their seminars and the importance of preserving American culture. This company provides the opportunity to learn more about Henry David Thoreau and his significance and also about how Walden Pond got there in the first place and the many wildlife that live there.
