This week I was able to accomplish a variety of tasks. The clean up outside of the building gave a more appealing appearance. The Roster checks were important work which helped me understand how important accurate paperwork is for a company. Lastly, the sanitation of bathrooms, benches, and seating at the edge. This task was less fun but very important for the safety of the customer/visitors as well as the well being of the company's reputation.
One big awkward and challenging situation would have to be the day of paperwork. My fellow interns and I were tasked with roster checks of all the teams making sure all the players are accounted for, and that they have jersey sizes and numbers. The awkwardness in this task were a lot of things. My interns and I had a rough overview of the task. This unfortunately allowed for wiggle room in our execution of the task.The other main issue was the location we chose to work in. It was a nice day, so we made the decision to work outside. We forgot to take the wind into account. This caused papers to fly off, and clearly disrupting our work. We decided to use objects as paperweights to overcome the situation, but moving location would have probably been more successful.
This internship has helped improve my impression in a good way of the business world. I am more comfortable with understanding and handling the smalls things that keep a business running which has a huge impact on the the company.
