My internship has taught my the power and value of non-profits. The Umbrella staff cares so much for each-other and the Concord community. My supervisor is pregnant and almost due, so the rest of the staff threw her a surprise baby shower! She shed tears of joy and we all enjoy opening gifts, eating cake and sandwiches. It has been a pleasure working for this org.

There will certainly be times when you must do tasks like filing or organizing, but those are tasks that must be done and do have value! Take pride in the small jobs because at a non-profit, everything counts!
