Chloe Koval

My work environment is a barn, so it is, of course, very casual. I wear breeches and boots or jeans and sneakers. This week I have been taking care of a couple injured horses, as well as been doing general barn and staff help. One horse recently got his leg caught in the fence while he was being turned out, and I have been hand walking him a couple times a day and tending to his cuts by cold hosing, dressing and wrapping his legs. I have also been helping with the horses that head trainer, Stacy, is training and riding. I've been with her while she sets the jumps in the ring before she rides, and I'm learning a lot about general jumpers training and which jumping exercises are good for specific horses and situations. I enjoy how relaxed this job is, and getting to be outside in the spring weather (even if it's rainy) is really nice. I'm really looking forward to learning more from Stacy and just being around and learning about horses all day :)
