This week I spent a lot of time learning how to body clip horses (give them a haircut) to the standards of A circuit and Grand Prix level grooms, which was far harder than expected. I have clipped horses plenty of times before, but learning to how to fully body clip in this certain way was quite different from what I had learned before.
Through this internship, I have learned a lot about what it's like to be a groom and trainer in the A circuit of equestrian competition, as well as gained lots of random knowledge about horse health and how to take care of horses under certain situations. I am still unsure after my internship as to if it is a business that I would see myself working in, but it has definitely been a great learning experience and I have had lots of fun.
