This week, I helped with the same injured horse and learned a lot about the way horses' hooves work, and all the nerves and bones around the area of the hoof.

One awkward situation I faced was when a man from Showtime TV came to the barn to ask if he could book it as a set, and I was the only one around downstairs at that moment in time. Knowing nothing about this, I chatted with him for a while and explained to him that I didn't think our barn was the right place for the TV show, as there is a current owner switch and the farm is being sold. He was quite persistent and we chatted for a while, and I concluded by taking his card and giving it to the owner. I think I handled the situation well, and as expected the owner of the barn was not interested.

I believe the internship is showing me that I do definitely have an interest of going into a career in the equestrian business, but I'm still not totally sure if it's for me yet.
