The thing that I probably liked most about my internship was interchangeable with the thing that I liked the least: balancing my own time. I have always struggled with time management and in the wake of my senior slide, I sometimes found myself in a cycle of procrastination until 9 o'clock when I sped through all the work I was supposed to that day. However, it was wonderful to have my own time to work on and around and I usually was able to focus well in local cafes and libraries. I learned how to manage my time better, public speak comfortably to larger groups during the board meetings, and be more comfortable in my role in the business/ adult world. I think this experience will help me feel more comfortable for future careers/ internships as I know I have experienced it before and can do it again.
