Week one

Although I didn't get to start my internship working on location, luckily enough due to the nature of the work I can do it completely from home.

My first week started with a crash course, via Microsoft Teams, on the software that I am going to be using throughout my internship. I took a lot of notes on the biological side of things as it was in an area that I was not very familiar with. After getting the gist of how to use the software I was put to familiarizing myself with it. I enjoy the more open self-education or training so I found myself really getting into it. By the next day, I had a starting grasp on the software, but that's not to say I wasn't making mistakes as towards the beginning I made quite a few. The week went on and as I continued producing training data, I started to make fewer and fewer errors. The other half of my job is feedback, which entails recording any glitches I encounter as well as ideas for improvement that I get when working with the software. I took a lot of notes both for myself and to document things I wanted to give feedback on.

Overall I found the work of my first very enjoyable and am looking forward to getting more proficient at my duties.
