Tell us about your first week

In our first week at The Edge, we helped with taking inventory and general maintenance. We needed to count jerseys and socks which were checked against roster totals in order to find out if more were needed than available. Additionally, we helped in maintaining everything that makes the whole operation work.

Things are really casual at our internship. It's an athletics facility, so formal clothing isn't necessary. Now that I think about it, formal clothing would even limit our ability to be directly involved in lots of jobs at The Edge.

My favorite part of working at The Edge is how our work directly affects the final product. For example, if we didn't take inventory on jerseys, some teams wouldn't have enough jerseys. Our work directly impacts the final product which is very rewarding.

The Edge has two ice rinks and two fields, so people or teams can either rent the spaces in sessions open to the public or in private.
