To date, what has been the most challenging aspect of your internship?

For me, being a virtual intern, communicating with my supervisor is the most challenging as I have to schedule a meeting to meet. I also do not have the luxury of seeing him in person so when I have questions or concerns my work is essentially put on a pause until I see him. ​

Describe your supervisor’s management style (formal, informal, etc.).

We have meetings two or three times a week, depending on the type of work I am doing. Sometimes I will receive texts to update my supervisor on my current work. Other than that, I pretty free to work on my own time which is a big pro of being virtual. ​

Describe one new thing you have learned about this company, or the field and/or industry as a whole.

I think I am learning how a professional team functions. For example, I was put in a meeting with the whole team and I got the chance to see how well they organize themselves and how productive they are. It was very informative and now I have a better understanding of how companies are ran at this level. ​
