The first week of my internship went really well. I spent this week starting to learning Django, which is a website framework based in Python. It feels refreshing to learn about code again. Once I am comfortable enough with Django I'll start writing code for testing the website to make sure certain features don't break between updates. The workplace is very relaxed. I have a daily meeting at 2pm where I talk about what I've been working on / learning and what I'll be doing until the next meeting. On top of that there are biweekly meetings at 11am which involves the entire development team in which they discuss the goal and direction of the website. Overall the goal of MassEnergize is empowering the community through events to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions locally.
