The third week was very similar to my second. I continued to write test cases for the MassEnergize handlers. This week I gained even more mastery over the MassEnergize api. I feel much much more comfortable now. Instead of struggling to comprehend how to complete tasks I can take a much more critical look at the code I'm working with now. I'm able to understand it much faster and find its flaws and potential bugs. Whenever writing a new test case I would almost always find a bug in the code. These were sometimes very challenging to deal with because the cause of the bug wasn't always obvious. My strategy for dealing with these bugs was to try and fix it for about 10 minutes, and if I couldn't make any progress I would take a note of it and go over the bug with my internship supervisor. Usually we'd spend our daily meetings fixing some of the tougher more problematic bugs. So far this internship has very positively influenced my view on this industry. The industry feels a lot more welcoming and less intimidating than it originally did to me. I feel like I have a lot of freedom in the code I write which keeps the job fun and exciting.
