This week started with my trainer being gone for a couple of days as she had to go look at two new foals we are getting in April. This meant that I got to ride more horses than usual (ranging between 3-4) which was very fun. It takes a lot to keep that many horses and getting each one of them the correct exercise for their mental and physical state. The weather this week ranged a lot which meant we had to do a lot of pulling blankets on and of to keep the horses comfortable which is crucial. 

This week specifically I learned how important and very hard it is for a trainer to both keep workers and horses happy at the same time as it is a lot of work and if you are not committed to the horses it can get overwhelming. Though the internship I love getting to see the good and bad parts of owning so many horses, how everyday functions and the struggles that come with the industry.
