Working at Finish Post taught me a lot about myself and my career. I think the biggest takeaway was to constantly push yourself and don't be afraid to ask questions. A lot of my time was independent--I could walk and watch the professionals work with clients if I personally took the time to go in and ask to sit in. Essentially, you get as much as you put in. I realized that everyone is a nice person and they are eager to help you with any of your projects or questions if you just reach out to them first. That willingness to put yourself out there is something that is invaluable to me. And if anything, I am more than excited to continue pursuing filmmaking once I move to LA in August.

As mentioned, my best advice for a future intern would be to always seek discomfort. What I mean is to always take go in knowing what you want to take away from the experience and take initiative.
