At my internship this week I have helped create workout plans for people. For example, in older clients, there is more stretching and low weight exercises. This is because they are trying to gain mobility while keeping strength. For younger clients, it is more weight training in order to gain muscle mass, fast.
One awkward encounter I had at my internship is when someone came in to train, and the trainer was not there. They were very angry that there was a miscommunication, but I was able to set them up for a different time, resolving the problem.
My internship is showing me how much detail to the body physical training involves. It has shown me how much detail you need in order to create a training plan for someone.
