I haven't had anything I did not enjoy during my internship. Annotating the 813 slide pullback was probably the most time consuming and difficult project I've done so far, but the results were worth it. I'm glad it is helpful to train the AI machine. I really enjoyed meeting the other interns and employees. Attending the Women in AI dinner as a Gentuity AI associate was the highlight of my internship. I got to talk to the speakers and meet other women and hear their backgrounds and how they got involved in this field.
What I can add to my resume is that I was interning at Gentuity which is a small biomedical company that specializes in medical imaging of the vascular system. What I do for them is manually annotating data is used for AI training.
Throughout this internship I've realized how interesting artificial intelligence is and I hope to get more involved in the future. At the Women in AI dinner I found it very interesting how there's still bias in robots/machines because humans have biases and they train the machines. It's very difficult to overcome these biases and I wonder how we can do that. AI will definitely be one of my greatest interests while going into college.
