Week 1

Over the course of my first week working for Concord Property Management, I have taken my small background of the retail world and increased it exponentially. Through doing small tasks such as organizing files and proofreading quarterly reports, to large ones like conducting research on possible properties to purchase, I have gained a lot of knowledge on the ins and outs of this company. After visiting multiple different properties, I have gotten a solid idea about what this company does to renovate each building and how they develop it to the preference and desire of the people or companies leasing it out.

Most of my time during the first week has been spent working to understand the basics of this business. For example, I have been doing lots of reading on the zoning laws of each town, finding out the restrictions each town has to what they can do with each property. I have spent time in the accounting and brokerage aspect, learning a lot from both. 

Luckily, the location of my work is located right in Concord Center. With an easy commute, I do not have to worry about traffic much. The environment is quite laid back, there is plenty of work to attend to but no one seems stressed out to a point where they are not enjoying what they are doing.

So far, this is exactly what I was expecting and have had a great time through the first week.
