Week One of my internship went fairly well. I had two meetings with women who do the same kind of work as my mentor. During these meetings we discussed what services I can provide for them. I was given seven new projects to keep myself busy for the next five weeks of this program. One woman had offered me a spot to continue working with her through the summer. I suppose we will see how the next couple of weeks go before I commit! I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of work I have been given, but it is only the first week. I plan on working hard and seeing what I can accomplish by the end of next week. If things are too much I will pull back. Right now I am working on structuring presentations, sifting through useful information on the women sites, beginning a blog forum, as well as coming up with Q and A questions for a panel that one of the women will be attending in a couple of weeks.
