Hello! My name is Skye Trussell. I am currently a Senior at CCHS and will be attending Northeastern University in the fall of 2019. There, I plan on majoring in humanistic psychology and minoring in social work. In the beginning of the year, I had the opportunity to be a part of Cohort 13 in Rivers and Revolutions. Rivers and Revolutions is an interdisciplinary program that emphasizes the importance of connecting all parts of a person (i.e. their home life, community, natural community, school, peers, teachers, hobbies, etc) to enhance their educational experience. In this internship, I will be working with Rivers Revolutions Founder, Michael Goodwin, Willard Elementary and surrounding schools in Concord to expand this program. The goal is to ultimately allow for a wider range of students to experience this opportunity at a younger age in hopes of it enhancing their learning experience. I will be working in one of the 5th grade classrooms at Willard Elementary School working with the new Rivers and Revolutions, cohort 14, by putting together lesson plans, collaborating with peers, and helping facilitate the teaching of the lessons to the 5th grade Willard students.
