Q: Summarize what your internship has taught you about yourself and your career and industry as a whole.
My internship has provided me with an incredible insight of my hoped career/industry as a whole, as well as how I work within that particular environment. I've learned how much patience you must have to become a teacher (especially teaching in an elementary school), and although I have a lot more "growing up" to do before I could become a teacher, I hope getting older means gaining more patience! I now understand how much hard work teachers put into each and everyday of teaching and how unbelievably hard the profession of teaching is. On the other hand, I have also been shown how rewarding and incredible the world of teaching is, I now have such a profound admiration and respect for any kind of teacher -- to me they are now superheros!
Q: Provide an internship tip for future interns...
My tip for future interns would be: enjoy it.... it's such an incredible experience if you are put right into the workforce that you hope to have a future in, you get the perfect sample taste of what it might be like. Be grateful... to your supervisors, your co-workers, and CCHS for this unique opportunity!
