Q: Describe the specific tasks you performed in your first week and what types of service the company provides.

During the first week of my internship, I worked along side Nick Ely-Myers to design a lesson plan for the current Rivers and Revolutions to bring to Willard Elementary School on Thursday, Stewardship Day. Towards the start of the week, Nick and I came up with a theme for the day as well as made an agenda and presentation. Our lesson was entitled "Our States of Matter", in which we dove into the metaphoric relationship between the states of matter and our day to day lives. We talked about phase change from a solid to a liquid to a gas, and what that might look, feel, taste, and smell like for us. Nick and I provide the service of aid to the 5th grades as well as the interdisciplinary and experiential approach to learning.

Q: Describe your work environment & what do you like about where you are working?

My work environment is very much laid back in the beginning of the week as Nick and I usually do most of our lesson planning at CCHS. However on Thursdays, when teach at Willard, we both tend to dress a bit nicer to look more professional. I really like that my work environment is more casual and not so formal, I feel that even this little difference allows myself to feel more comfortable.
