So far, the most challenging aspect of my internship is remaining patient, and not getting frustrated with myself when I don't know how to do something. I'm new to detailing cars, and there is a gap between my current skill level and the final product I'm hoping for. My supervisor's management style is informal and relaxed. This week I started a computer project to gather a collection of clips from previous car awards or interviews in order to detail the process of matching a veteran or returning citizen with a car. My supervisor commonly refers to the process as "The Community of Goodness," and by working on this project, I've learned how much goes into the donation process. And by looking at the recipient's reactions to their new cars I can see just how much it means to them, and how important it is to turn their lives around. I have included a video below that fully explains the "Community of Goodness."
