Week one working with IMPACT melanoma was great. I felt a part of the team right away. Even before I started my internship, my supervisor asked for my help with new t-shirt ideas for the "Your Skin is in" fundraiser. It was exciting to hear that my opinion was taking into consideration. On my first day working with the company, the staff were welcoming and offered support when needed.  I had the opportunity to zoom in on the morning staff meeting where everyone introduced themselves and their role at IMPACT melanoma.  It was a pretty casual environment. I listened in on upcoming fundraisers' ideas and various speakers who associated themselves with the organization. My first tasking working with the company included taking their "Your Skin is in" and "Skinny on Skin" course and writing a reflection/take away about my ideas on both. Once familiar with the material, I learned how to transferred data from the collection of people who registered for both courses and inserted them onto a spread to keep track of the participants.  I was also able to have some fun by reaching out to various companies about donating potential auction items for an IMPACT melanoma organization in June. Following the community outreach, I started to reach out to schools around my neighborhood and ask them if they were open to melanoma lessons taught during a class session to raise awareness through education purposes.
