During my internship I have learned many things about myself, my career, and the education industry as a whole.  I learned that I am committed and hardworking, and I am determined to stick with things even if I do not fully enjoy it.  I liked to make the best out of each day and come into the classroom with high energy.  I also learned that I will definitely not be a first grade teacher.  Although I am still interested in education, I do not want to work in an elementary school.  Everyone at the school was super nice and welcoming, but I just simply do not have an interest to work at a elementary school,  Similar to what I said above, I learned that the education industry as a whole requires you to be super high energy, attentive, and to always be on your toes.  Working with children is a massive responsibility, especially when they are younger.  I really respect and look up to all of the teachers that I have worked with, and I really appreciate all they d for the children in their classroom.  One internship tip is that you need to be present.  I missed a lot of school this year, and I was super determined not to miss much of the internship.  A huge part of this program is just showing up and being a positive influence at your work place, so it is extremely important you miss as few days as possible.  I really enjoyed my time working in Ms. Curley's first grade classroom and I wish the best of luck to the upcoming interns!
