This week at Concord Art, we have taken down and put up a couple different shows. In order to do this, a lot of things need to get done and moved around. It takes a lot of coordination with many different people and artists. I helped with this and learned how to hang shows by one of Concord Art's hangers, Bill. Shows need to be hung meticulously or they look off, which is bad since looking at the art is the main reason people come to a gallery. Once all the art was off the wall, I touched up and filled in the nail holes of the walls and trim of all three galleries. It was hard work but I learned a lot about painting and hanging shows this week. It was a bit difficult at first because I was given free range with the painting job and did not want to mess up the walls. However, I figured it out and went very cautiously. Doing this internship has not changed my impression of this career other than that it can be a very mess and hard-working and hands on field at times, but very technical other times.
