Hello! My name is Cece Whitlock and I am a senior at Concord Carlisle High School. This school year has been a memorable journey -- from being apart of the 13th Rivers and Revolutions cohort to now having the opportunity to have an internship!

I am attending University of Massachusetts Boston after I graduate from CCHS. More specifically, I am interested in studying politics/any other governmental related majors. In order to get a feel for what I may want to do as a career choice down the road, I will be interning at City Hall in Boston for the next six weeks!

I will be interning for City Council woman Annissa Essaibi George of Boston. Annissa is a native Bostonian with two parents who immigrated to America from Tunisia and Poland in the 1970s. She is the definition of hardworking, both as a leader of Boston but as a working mom who values the importance of family. Annissa's main issues she focuses on are Boston's schools and financial developments, public safety, and much more. She is working to improve the city of Boston for those most important: the Boston residents whom she represents.

My classmate Jaianah and I will be working for Annissa together. We will be focusing on a project that will give us an insight about what Annissa's role is as a City Councilor at-Large. We will also be overseeing the budget that Annissa's team has been preparing.

I am so incredibly thankful for this opportunity. I cannot wait to update you all on my journey!
