The commute begins to be a routine, a part of my daily life. 6:15- wake up, 7- get out of the house. I hop on the train at 7:33 sharp and look out in the distance as music blasts through my noise cancelling head phones, otherwise known as my life savers. My playlist goes from Lil Uzi to Fleetwood Mac real quick, but nevertheless the music excites me for the day ahead.

I walk into City Hall, new purple flats on my feet. I am ready for round 2.

Annissa's favorite color is pink- so of course her office walls are too!

For my second week, I focused mainly on prepping for Annissa's upcoming budget hearings for Fiscal Year 2020. Each day I spent multiple hours researching staff in the Boston Public School directory and finding data about them. This research served a greater purpose: to support one of the causes for which Annissa passionately advocates -- that Boston Public School teachers/staff should be living in Boston in order to fully ensure that the Boston community is strong and genuine.
