In this third week, I accomplished a lot. I secured a paid intern position here at Impact Melanoma for the summer, which is incredibly exciting. I also helped the team get out of the backlog of registration materials for our eLearning community, and sent over 100 packages. I learned a lot of time management this week, and how to separate big projects into smaller achievable tasks. I had an awkward moment where I was assigned to complete something by Friday, and didn't end up getting to it because of other work, and the person who assigned me it had to do it herself. I went to her office the next day I came in and apologized, and she did not seem too bothered by it. I learned that a constant line of communication is key in office relationships. Also, working in the office setting of the career path I want to go on, which is Medicine, has shown me how expansive the health and wellbeing world is. Even those who do not practice medicine can still be a crucial part of maintaining the well being of a community.
