Week 5

Week five of my internship brought lots of new experiences for me. I continued to collect data, as well as started going through the data that I had already collected. With the data that I had already collected I learned how to use a software called MATLAB which I used to write code and insert the data that I collected to make graphs so that the data could be more easily seen and interpreted. Some of the data that I collected had as many as 25,000 data points, so being able to average all the data and put it onto a readable graph is very important and helpful when interpreting the data.

Being at my internship for the past 5 weeks has taught me a lot about what a Job working in and as an engineer really is like. It as also taught me a lot about how the Department of Defense works and all of the people that work together and try to find ways to improve soldier technologies.

A tip to future interns that I have would be to really know what you are getting into before you commit to an internship. My experience was not at all what I was expecting, not that it wasn't an experience that I didn't like, it was just not at all what I was expecting and if you choose an internship and it turns out to be something that you weren't expecting, you might not like it and be stuck for the last quarter of your senior year doing something that you don't really like.
