I had a great first week at Commodore as everyone was friendly and welcoming. The work environment was relaxed but also extremely efficient. The dress code was business casual. Commodore runs the entire construction process, from pre-construction planning (the group I'm working with) to the full physical construction of the building.

My first day was mostly orientation meetings where I got my computer set up and was introduced to company policies. I spent the rest of the week working on projects from home. Using NavisWorks (a modeling program) I went through models of buildings and set up Clash Detections, which are places where different systems like electrical and plumbing hit each other. I then found a view of each clash in the model and tried to diagnose what the problem may be while giving a possible fix. My final task for the week was to sit in on meetings and take notes on the assigned deadlines.
