During my first week of the internship at Concord Middle School (Sanborn), I was shadowing one of the special education tutors in different classrooms and learning how to work with the kids and help them through difficult tasks during class time. I also spent a day in the guidance offices and observed while different students came in throughout the day to see if that was something I was interested in for my future as well. The environment that I was working in was very welcoming, especially because all of my old teachers remembered me. My everyday attire was jeans and a sweater which was pretty laid back and something I really liked about my place of work. Another thing that I really appreciate and like about my internship is the time that I go to work. I go in at 8:45 which gives me a lot more time to catch up on sleep as well as have a relaxing morning with no stress. I am really thankful to have this opportunity provided to me by CCHS and Mr. Egan and have already gotten a lot out of it.
