This week during my internship I did a lot of new things inside and outside of the classroom, this included taking notes in class for students who have trouble keeping up, and even going to Dunkin Doughnuts to get everyone breakfasts during a free block. The most difficult part to date of my internship would most likely be learning how to take proper and clear and detailed notes that the students can learn off of and read clearly. My supervisor (Mr. Egan and Mr. Bohl) has a mix between a formal and informal management style. They put me up to difficult and serious tasks but also joke around with me because I was a past student and have grown a lot academically. Something new that I have learned throughout these past two weeks is how nice it is to connect with the students and feel appreciated by both the teachers and the students for the work I do in the classroom. Overall, this past week has been been an awesome experience bonding with the kids.
