I really enjoyed my time at the middle school teaching 8th graders. My favorite part about my 6 weeks was creating a bond with the students and actually being able to help them with assignments which was something that I was unsure about in the beginning. I don't have many dislikes other than doing this internship during a pandemic. If there pandemic wasn't a thing I believe that I would've gotten a lot closer with the students and have a more interactive time. Some skills that I have picked up throughout my internship include increased patience and social skills. All of the skills that I have learned will lead me to be more successful in my future. I think my internship will make my academic career better because I now understand the hard work that teachers put into their classes every day. I'm not sure if this is something that I would like to pursue in my future but it was an awesome experience to have.
