During my work this week I did not have a whole lot of challenges (customers being easier to deal with) . My most challenging task for the week was taking phone call orders for newspapers and making sure that I take care of each of the customers' stuff before they come in for the next day to grab them. With multiple customers, they were looking for past days' newspapers and other things that they may need before we return the newspapers. First I have to bag them and then write down their names and put them in a spot so the next person working knows where it is so that the customer can grab their papers the next day. The main thing I learned is to remain calm and slow everything down. When I have a bunch of customers that are edging to get up and get what they want. I make sure to not make anyone angry and move at a quick pace but a pace where I cannot make stupid mistakes. As told, I always take care of the people that are buying souvenirs and things that make us the most money over the lottery tickets. I have learned a lot that will help me at whatever I decide to do after college, such as being responsible with opening and closing the store along with closing shifts and tallying up the total sales for the day.
